CPR Workshop 2015

Long Island Doula Association, Inc’s fifth CPR certification is underway. Whether you need to recertify or are certifying for the first time. Postpartum Doulas are required to upkeep their CPR certification to renew with DONA or CAPPA.

Date: Wednesday, May 13th
Time: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
For: 3 hours
Where: Long Island CPR 1285 Montauk Hwy Suite 201, Copiague
Fee: $40.00 per person

Registration and payment due by: May 1st

The certification workshop includes:
  • A two year certification with the American Heart Association
  • Adult/Child/Infant CPR training
  • AHA certification card

In celebration of Suffolk County’s Perinatal Mood Disorders awareness month LIDA in collaboration with The Postpartum Resource Center of New York and Suffolk Perinatal Coalition’s Perinatal  Mood Disorders Task Force is offering a Perinatal Mood Disorders Workshop.

Best Evidence Birth Workshop 9/14
3-hour workshop that will address the journey from pregnancy through birth in the light of best-evidence practices and protocols as promulgated by the WHO, the AAP, ACOG, the ABM, the March of Dimes, the Cochrane Database and other organizations that support optimal maternity and newborn care.

What are the latest best-evidence recommendations for optimal maternity care? How can we help our clients recognize and request that care for themselves and their babies? Who should come to this workshop? Anyone who works with, teaches and supports birthing mothers, their newborns and their families. Materials provided.
